All year Ōtaki locals have been donating their bikes.
Ōtaki Bike Space volunteers have tweaked seats, healed the wheels and re-enabled the cables.
At this year's Ōtaki Bike Space's Great Bike Giveaway and Repair Day, 52 quality kids and adults bikes found new owners.
26 other bikes were repaired on site.
That's 78 times [say, at least two?] years' worth of opportunities to use two wheels instead of four. Which is a healthy equation for the humans and the planet.
